Payment Methods and Fee Structure
Understanding our payment system helps ensure smooth transactions and fair compensation for all users.
1. Contribution fee structure
Contribution fees are the amounts passengers pay to share the cost of the journey. Each ride fees are set by the driver we do not have control over that. However based on curent legislation we limit how much a driver can charge per km.
Base Rate
Calculated based on distance traveled and decided by the driver
Example Calculation
For a $50 ride for one seat: 20.34% (18% booking fees + 13% tax) + trip fees = customer payment This is the total contribution fee paid by the passengers. 9$ (18 % booking fees) + 1.17 (13% tax) + $50 = $60.17 (customer payment) or $10.17 (20.34% 0f $50) + $50 = $60.17 (customer payment)
2. Commission rates for drivers
Drivers earn a share of the trip fee after platform fees.
Example Calculation
For a $50 ride for one seat: 4% (3.61 % stripe fees + 13% tax) + (($1.5 commission fees) + 13% tax) $1.695 - Trip fees = driver payment $2 (3.61% + 13%) + $1.695 - $50 = $46.26535 (driver payment)

8. Currency conversion rates
For cross-border rides, we handle currency conversion automatically.

Exchange Rate Policy
Rates are updated every 5 minutes from live market data. The rate at the time of booking is locked for the transaction.
Conversion Fee
A 2% fee is applied to the total amount converted. This fee is disclosed before payment.
Example
If a CAD ride costs $50 and the passenger pays in USD, the amount will be converted at the current rate plus 2%. The driver receives the CAD equivalent minus the standard commission.
